Abstract

With increasing size and flexibility of new transport aircraft, aeroelastic effects become more and more a limiting factor. Specially flutter safety has to be taken into account from the beginning of the design process because the elimination of flutter problems in a late design stage should be avoided. Thus aerolasticians need fast numerical methods for flutter predictions during design.
