Abstract
In waterjet surgery a waterjet is used for selective removal of tissue. The application field of the waterjet is limited due to its way of handling. By integration of the surgical waterjet into a medical robotic system these limitation could be overcome and the field of application could be extended. The approach was verified in the main application fields minimally invasive liver surgery and surgical wound debridement.
