Abstract

Damage of composite materials is studied from both a fracture mechanics and a damage mechanics point of view at a coupon level. Methods developed are used on some sub-elements and sub-structures with the objective of decreasing the amount of testing needed at these levels in the certification procedures of composite structures. © Elsevier, Paris
