Abstract

For the analysis of a three surface Megaliner configuration a preliminary aircraft design code was extended by a higher-order panel method, a transonic data base and a trim routine. Preliminary results of the design studies show that the integration of the canard as lifting control device promises a significant reduction of the drag (3A%) and mission fuel (2.3%).
