Abstract
The paper presents the current status of the European project AVTAC. It describes the partnership as well as the main objectives and the technical workpackages defined to achieve these goals. The common testcases used in the project are presented as well as some preliminary results. Furthermore, recent project related code developments/improvements are addressed regarding code robustness and efficiency, turbulence and transition modeling and unstructured grids issues, such as local refinement techniques.
