Code Validation for SCT Applications

Herrmann, U. (1999) Code Validation for SCT Applications. In: AIAA-Paper 99-903 (1999). 37th Aerospace Sciences Meeting and Exhibit, Reno (nv), 11.-14.01.1999.

Abstract

The validation of the DLR Navier-Stokes solver for prediction of flows around Supersonic Commercial Transport (SCT) is reviewed. Aeroelastic effects in supersonic flow experiment are demonstrated numerically. Mesh density and turbulence model effects on flow topology and aerodynamic coefficients at transonic and subsonic speeds are described.
