Abstract

Wake analysis of PIV data obtained in the DNW-KKK wind tunnel measurement with the X03D low speed take off configuration with different wing tip devices. The topology, strength, extension and position of the tip vortices is compared among the different wing tip devices for different incidences and Reynolds numbers. The unsteadiness of the measurement is studied and time average velocities and root mean square values are obtained. A drag analysis is performed.
