Kurzfassung
Nowadays, there is a promising growth in implementing advanced Technologies such as cyber-physical Systems (CPPS), internet of things (IoT) and big data (BD) within what is known as the Industry 4.0. This industrial revolution is going side by side with the rapidly increasing demand for composite structures for wide range of applications in several industries. Therefore, the continuous development of advanced composite production techniques necessitates assessing the eco-efficiency of these various techniques. Based on that assessment capability, sustainable development scan be suggested by decision-makers to enhance more efficient processes. However, there is a lack of frameworks that guide the decision-makers in implementing technologies of Industry 4.0 in the eco-efficiency assessment. Therefore, this work provides a framework that is dedicated for such an implementation. Based on this framework, a novel concept for data collection in what is called the smart-work-station (SWS) is introduced.
