Angle dependent scattering measurements under different natural weather condition have been performed. The light scattering of aerosol particles and rain droplets radiated by a high energy laser is detected under five scattering angles. The measurements are compared with numerical calculations. The numerical calculations are improved by including the effect of asphericity and an uncertainty estimate is made based on the variations of the complex refractive index of aerosol particles.
