Abstract

A benchmark test for Euler simulations of a high-lift configuration vortex wake is presented. Four different partners have used their in-house grid generators and Euler-codes within the framework of the European research program C-Wake for calculating the nearfield vortex wake of the DLR-F11 model in take-off configuration. Compared are nearfield results up to a half span downstream of the model wing tip obtained on structured and unstructured grids, employing 2nd, 3rd and 4th order accurate schemes. For validation 5-hole probe and pressure distribution measurements carried out in the DNW-NWB are used.
