Abstract

The lecture describes a simple and precise method for determining thermal conductivity. The method uses an analytical instrument that is already standard in many laboratories for the thermal characterization of plastics. Dynamic differential calorimetry (DSC) uses a sensor to record changing heat flows between a sample crucible and a reference crucible that follow the same temperature profile. An Round Robin initiated by DLR shows a high comparability with other thermal conductivity methods.
