Abstract

Ziel dieses Beitrags ist die Auseinandersetzung mit den durch digitalen Wandel eröffneten Möglichkeiten der Individualisierung des öffentlichen Personennahverkehrs sowie die Diskussion der Zukunftsfähigkeit von Ridepooling-Angeboten. Ridepooling-Angebote, auch Demand-Responsive Transportation genannt, sind digitale Mobilitätskonzepte mit einem hohen Grad an zeitlicher und räumlicher Flexibilität, bei denen Fahrtwünsche unterschiedlicher Fahrgäste in Echtzeit gebündelt werden. Dieser Beitrag analysiert das aktuelle Marktentwicklung und zeigt damit das Potenzial dieser Mobilitätskonzepte auf. The aim of this paper is to deal with the critical examination of the new possibilities of the individualization of local public transport offered by digitalization and to discuss the viability and sustainability of ridepooling concepts. Ridepooling concepts, also called Demand-Responsive Transportation, are digital mobility concepts with a high degree of spatial and temporal flexibility, bundling transport requests of different passengers in real-time. This contribution analyzes the current market development and thus demonstrates the potential of such mobility concepts.
