Kurzfassung
Although the wide-sense stationary uncorrelated scattering (WSSUS) assumption is widely used in channel modeling, it is often violated for V2V channels. This is due to non-stationary behavior of the time-variant impulse response of the channel and due to correlations in the delay. Therefore, we present a non-stationary geometry based stochastic channel (GBSC) model that allows to describe highly time-variant non-WSS channels. We derived closed-form expressions for the delay-dependent Doppler spectra enabling realistic and efficient simulation and emulation of V2V and V2I communication. In contrast to conventional WSSUS channel models, our non-stationary channel model enables realistic performance evaluations of V2X communication during safety-critical driving maneuvers, e.g. collision avoidance at crossings, platooning, or overtaking. Thus, our model allows to assess the reliability of safety-critical cooperative ITS applications.
