The floating swarm concept is presented for the example of small receive only SAR satellites. The receive an-tenna size is less than 1 m and the number of satellites investigated is 20 and 12. The real swarm with its position variations is approximated to an equivalent swarm with ideal positions. From the later one an overall elevation antenna is synthesized, and a 50 km ground swath is obtained by On-ground SCORE. The achievable SAR per-formance is estimated and opportunities for interferometry and other SAR techniques are outlined.
