Kurzfassung
This technical note compiles the phase 0 inputs from DLR for the three work packages WP 2120 Systemkonzepte, Innovative SAR-Systeme WP 2220 SAR Instrumentkonzepte - Innovative SAR-Techniken WP 2240 SAR Moden & Performance Analysen - Innovative SAR-Techniken As the work performed in this three work packages is strongly interconnected, it is preferred to present the results together within the technical note at hand. The WPs identify the coverage with SAR systems at the technological state of the art as well as the technological gaps that need to be closed to allow for ambitious HRWS systems realized with one or more satellites. Keeping in mind the Baseline HRWS-System that is discussed at Airbus, several system and instrument concepts are proposed and analyzed. During Phase 0 of the study, a bi-static system with separated transmit and receive satellite with DBF in elevation is analyzed as well as several monostatic systems with DBF in elevation. Other DBF concepts with DBF in azimuth and elevation will shortly be discussed. The Airbus baseline that is based on DBF in azimuth is cross-checked in terms of plausibility of SAR performance.
