Abstract

Almost all future On-Orbit-Servicing scenarios involve a servicer spacecraft approaching autonomously some passive target object based on visual navigation alone. To simulate such complex scenarios with real-sensors and true-to scale target mockups with realistic surface materials in real-time, the robotic European Proximity Operations Simulator (EPOS) has recently been upgraded with various features, raising its simulation capabilites to a totally new level.
