Abstract

In order to assess the influence of various spoiler geometries on the low-speed aerodynamic properties and the flight mechanical behavior of the DLR-F19 configuration, static forces, moments and surface pressure measurements have been conducted in the Low SpeedWind Tunnel Facility (NWB) of the Dutch-German Wind Tunnels (DNW) in Braunschweig. Further, first time Pressure Sensitive Paint (PSP) measurements on the undeflected and deflected trailing edge control surfaces of the DLRF19 have been performed. These test have been conducted within the DLR internal project Mephisto (Milit¨arische Forschung zu Verfahren und Technologien f ¨ ur den Gesamtentwurf von UAVs). This test campaign is the third wind tunnel test campaign with the DLR-F19 within the DNW-NWB.
