Kurzfassung

The optimal integration of a high-frequency brushless electronic rotor supply (BERS) into the constraint space of a motor includes a variety of different challenges. This paper is devoted to the modelling of eddy current losses in wound rotor motors caused by a high frequency inductive transformer with a centric shaft opening. Due to a desirable high integration inside the motor as well as relatively high Transfer frequencies, parasitic side effects are generated by flux distributions towards ferromagnetic machine parts. These parasitic flux paths further increase the effective input inductance as well as eddy current losses which in turn have to be considered during the design process. In the following publication, the losses and operational behavior will be modelled as a function of the different geometrical machine parameters. Thereafter, the generated model is validated by accompanying FEA simulations as well as an fixed experimental setup in the frequency domain. In conclusion, the frequency-dependent field distribution as well as the maximum efficiency of the experimental setup is illustrated.
