Abstract
This report describes a case study executed in autumn of 2014. It concerns the feasibility and options when replacing the conventional propulsion system of a Do 228 aircraft by an electric system. Different possible system architectures are discussed and analyzed at concept level. For each option the expected range and endurance is given, concluded by a rough cost estimation for a flying demonstrator.
