Abstract

The goal in developing the new Airborne SAR Performance Tool (ASPT) was to provide an extensible software package for the parametric estimation of the expected SAR image quality obtainable by airborne SAR sensors. As such, it is intended to provide inputs to the development of currently operational as well as future SAR Sensors and can also play an important part in optimizing the acquisition geometry as well as the sensor configuration during mission planning.
