Pseudopilot Handbook for Changi tower Simulations

Abstract

The Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) started cooperation in 2013. Both parties want to perform joined research in the fields of air traffic management. One part of this cooperation is the setup of validation infrastructure at NTU. Among others a tower simulator has been built. Within this tower simulator so called human in the loop simulations can be conducted, evaluating the working positions of air traffic controllers at the airport. The DLR supports the NTU to get the tower simulator into operations. This includes the setup of a demo scenario with pilots and controllers. This document defines the procedures and commands for the pseudo pilots. All described procedures encounter the official procedures of the air traffic and the possibilities of the simulator. The here defined procedures must be used by the pseudo pilots to generate unified and errorless simulations runs.
