Abstract

More and more use cases demanding real world scenarios in driving simulators e.g. for testing and validation purpose. On the one hand to build these manually isn’t time and cost efficient and error-prone. On the other hand the amount of available digital spatial data is increasing. Thus it should be used for generating simulation environments and road networks. Due to the different data sources one has to take care of their different properties for pre-processing and fusion of the data. This presentation gives an overview about an efficient way of processing and using different data sources with focus on OpenDRIVE road network generation. It shows as result already achievable fused databases with high precise and automated road networks.
