Abstract
The thesis at hand focused on the development and evaluation of an automatic measurement algorithm for diameter at breast height (DBH) and tree stem shape analysis. Different system settings and methods were evaluated for a Scots pine stand with available reference measurements. The evaluation shows the general applicability and potential for further development.
