Abstract

The review addresses GNSS based monitoring techniques such as ground based measurements of the Total Electron Content (TEC) and space based measurements of electron density (radio occultation) and TEC (topside ionosphere/plasmasphere density reconstruction). The use of these techniques for monitoring space weather is discussed.
