Abstract

This paper presents an idea on how to express equilibrium processes that shall be regarded as infinitely fast within equation-based languages for continuous systems. The expression of such processes can help to solve the corresponding non-linear systems of equations at initialization and during simulation since it enables the use of continuation methods.
