Abstract
Measured channel data of the PROMETHEUS 60-GHz channel cover measurements on highways, rural roads and in urban surroundings for distances up to 500 m. Fading statistics concerning the duration of fades and the distribution function of the received power are presented. Based on the channel data, a packet transmission was simulated. In the simulations the effect of antenna diversity, FEC and packet repetition on the message loss probability was investigated.
