Abstract

This report is a contribution to the technical note TN2 which will be delivered to the ESA in the frame of the “High Thrust Stage Study”. The study investigates high thrust stages for manned mission beyond the Earth orbit. Three different combinations of propellant are considered LOX-LH2, LOX-CH4 and the storable combination MON-MMH. The following chapters described the results of the preliminary design of the stage based on the storable propellant combination MON-MMH.
