Abstract

A numerical investigation of interaction of single expansion ramp nozzle (SERN) fow with base flow and external flow is carried out as it is very important for aerodynamic stability of the complete hypersonic transportation vehicle. Several parameters have been varied which include free stream Mach number, nozzle pressure ratio and total temperature of the plume to understand influence of varied parameter on the flow interaction. The numerical predictions are compared with available experimental data, and very good agreement with experiments is observed.
