Abstract

Real time simulations for the integration of UAVs into non-segregrated airspace were carried with air traffic controllers and UAV pilots. The workload for the controllers was measured using NASA TLX questionnaires. It increased slightly in the beginning due to the unknown behaviour of the new type of aircraft, however, it could be demonstrated, that UAVs can be integraded into airspace easily if they operate automatically according the rules for manned aircraft.
