The first version of a new online parameter estimation tool is presented. Based on the maximum likelihood parameter estimation method, the tool is able to process measured data during a flight test and to deliver parameter estimates for a predefined model. Two decision methods are implemented for selecting flight data segments which are suitable for parameter estimation. First test results with simulated and measured flight data of DLR’s research aircraft ATTAS are presented, showing the applicability of the tool and the implemented decision methods.
