Abstract
This communication introduces the three aspects within which the laboratory provides an efficient support to the process of putting into service commercial projects: unification of formats for project data and test records, formal representation of track elements and elaboration of operational scenarios. It also introduces the validation of the laboratory by means of the comparison of track and laboratory records. The contribution of the laboratories provides the maximum synergy among testing strategies, increases the efficiency of the tests, extends the scope of testing to earlier design phases and lowers the cost of the whole process.
