Abstract
In this contribution the evaluation approach of deployment projects funded through the Competitiveness and Innovation Program (CIP) of the European Commission (EC) (ICT PSP Work Programme 2011) is presented. The aim of the program is to enhance and support the uptake of Electro Mobility (EM) by introducing ICT-technologies into electric vehicles (EV) and existing transportation systems. Four CIP pilot projects were selected for funding in order to further promote their EV demonstration activities. The projects ICT4EVEU, MOBI.Europe, MOLECULES and SmartCEM will contribute to a pre-deployment and wider uptake of smart connected EM as a radical departure from today's transport system towards lower carbon emissions.
