Abstract

The first experiment with the OA209-FCD (Fluidic Control Device) model took place at the end of 2011and start of 2012. It was a cooperation between the department of helicopters in the institute for aerodynamics and flow technology (AS-HE) and the department of aeroelastic experimentation in the institute of aeroelastics (AE-Exp). Further partners were the institute for material physics in space (MP) and the DLR workshops (SHT). The experiment used the pitching motion device (NVS) in the adaptive-wall test section of the DNW-TWG. Build-in started on 7.12 and first data was produced on 19.12. The longer than usual build-in was due to the 3 days of calibration required for the PicColor stereoscopic deformation measurement system. The initial measurement block was 19-22 December 2011, and stereoscopic deformation measurements were made parallel with pressure and force measurements. The second measurement block was 16-20 January 2012, and this produced pressure and force measurements without deformation measurements, as well as oil film measurements. The first point for 2012 was 470002. For further questions, the contact persons for this experiment were: AS-HE: Anthony Gardner, Kai Richter AE-Exp: Holger Mai MP: Dietmar Neuhaus DNW: Andreas Benkel SHT: Helmut Br¨amer 1
