Abstract

The following paper gives an overview of the attitude control system of the CLAVIS nano satellite bus. It will provide some general background information of the first adaption of the CLAVIS satellite bus toward a real mission while placing the main focus on the attitude control system development. The attitude control system design is explained and the chosen sensors and actuators are presented. In addition magnetic control laws are designed and their stability is proven. Finally the hardware in the loop test setup is explained, which is used to verify the functionality and performance of the attitude control system.
