Abstract

The movement of the thin oil film placed on the surface of fast-rotating disks or propeller blades, resulting from the combined effect of centrifugal and friction forces, is analyzed in the present work with the aim to find a solution useful for measurements of the air-flow skin friction, which is either induced due to the rotation itself around the axis or by the external flow.
