Abstract
Für die virtuelle Welt einer Fahrsimulation werden Geodaten zur Beschreibung von Stadt, Landschaft und Verkehr fusioniert. Um einen sehr hohen Detail- und Genauigkeitsgrad bei gleichzeitig hoher Performanz zu erreichen werden möglichst präzise Geodaten in einer Werkzeugkette verarbeitet und mit Hilfe des Szenengraphen- und Level of Detail-Konzepts in einer 3D-Visualisierungs-Engine umgesetzt. Die Beschreibung des Verkehrsnetzes basiert dabei auf OpenDRIVE.
