Abstract
The final goal of this project is to analyze the safety issues of a general wireless safety-critical data transmission system and to develop a reliability model. This includes performing a Functional Hazard Analysis that examines every hazard that may occur at different levels of detail and, then, a model that intends to relate the application level failure probability to the underlying measures of reliability. This reliability model would eventually assisst in the validation and certification process of a fly-by-wireless (FBWss) system in an aircraft.
