Abstract

The noise sources at the leading edge slat in a high-lift device configuration are investigated by means of the causality correlation method. The calculated cross-correlation between the acoustic far-field pressure and near-field fluctuations obtained via particle image velocimetry (PIV) provides information about the flow structures which are part of the sound generation process.
