Abstract

For the relation from Paris to Vienna an operational concept for the DLR-developed Next Generation Train is created. Within this concecpt the passenger potential is analysed and used as a basis for the planning of a timetable and vehicle scheduling. Different scenarios are developed, from a completely new high-speed line for 400 kph to a scenario with usage of all existing and planned high-speed lines for lower speed.
