Abstract
In this paper we present an optical and non-invasive measurement method which allows to measure the height of droplets and films in transparent fluids agglomerating on a surface. Due to light refraction at the interface of two transparent fluids, an optical displacement in the image plane of a photographic camera occurs. Hence, the method allows to calculate the height of the fluid agglomeration based on pattern displace at the surface. To verify the measurement method and the used algorithms, liquid droplets with known volume have been measured and reconstructed.
