Abstract

Apart form conventional image processing routines there are also some advanced approaches that allow a robust and more detailed analysis of image content. In our case, we consider innovative approaches for complex-valued SAR images being typical for Sentinel-1 and its 5 m resolution SAR data. Following signal processing theory one can analyze signals or images in the time frequency domain. This time frequency domain can be exploited to analyze the spectral as well as the spatial and directional characteristics of complex-valued SAR data.
