Abstract

Dieses Paper untersucht den Landoberflächenwandel in Westafrika, anhang von Satellitendaten aus den Jahren 1990, 2000 und 2007. Die Veränderungsprozesse aus den Satellitendaten werden mit sozioökonomischen Model-Rechnungen verglichen, um die Gründe (Treiber) des Landoberflächenwandels zu erfassen. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Faktoren Bevölkerung und Infrastruktur die Grössten Treiber des Wandels sind.
