Abstract
Within the framework of our concept of neutral gain modules, experimental results of the implementation of thin-disk gain modules as well as intracavity adaptive optics in high-brightness thin-disk laser configurations are presented. This enables a systematic control of the optical neutrality of the gain modules in laser operation mode for optimizing the beam quality.
