Kurzfassung
Radio waves travelling through the ionospheric plasma are impacted in different ways. Principally, signal propagation is delayed causing non-negligible range errors in navigation systems. In particular space weather related ionospheric perturbations may cause errors in telecommunication, navigation and remote sensing systems. Discussed are different types of space weather caused effects and possibilities to mitigate the impact.
