Abstract
NASA's 50th anniversary offers a great opportunity to celebrate the power of inspiration, innovation and discovery. If scientists can put a man on the moon and consequently send him much farther into outer space, shouldn't it also be possible to enable astronauts to perform complex surgical procedures in zero gravity?
