Abstract
The software program TACO (Tailored Composite Design Code) is a Tailored Fibre Place-ment (TFP) design tool for lightweight composite structures. It is developed to optimize the fibre orientations of structures made of Carbon Fibre Reinforcement Plastics (CFRP) and, thus, to fully exploit the uniaxial material properties. The optimization process leads to a local reinforcement, a more efficient load transfer and an improved damage behaviour.
