Abstract
The paper presents results of a model-based analysis of a potential urban pricing scheme in the city of Berlin. For this purpose the activity-based demand-generation model TAPAS (Travel Activity Pattern Simulation) was applied to estimate variations of transport demand due to different pricing schemes. The paper introduces structure and functions of the model, compares the modeling results with empirical findings and discusses the implications for policy decision-making.
