Abstract
A new European receiving station for high resolution IKONOS data is operated at Oberpfaffenhofen since April 2003. The station is running under collaboration between European Space Imaging and the German Aerospace Center DLR in Oberpfaffenhofen. The paper gives an overview on the IKONOS ground station at DLR. The image reception, data processing, archiving, and product delivery are described. Moreover, the operational capacity of the ground station as well as the quality of the products are shown.
