Abstract

The German Aerospace Center (DLR) developed the Arrival Manager 4D-CARMA to assist air traffic control-lers in organizing the multitude of arrivals. A new method for aircraft noise estimation adapted to the planning characteristics of the 4D-CARMA allows now to support controllers identifying noise abatement routes during real-time approach guiding.
