Deep Impact - Strength of the Comet

Kührt, E. and Knollenberg, J. and de Niem, D. (2005) Deep Impact - Strength of the Comet. Workshop on „First results on the Deep Impact Mission“, 2005-11-01 - 2005-11-03, St Goar (D).

Abstract

It seems very difficult to derive strength (and density) from the Deep Impact measurements because the gas drag may change the commonly used ballistic ejecta physics. Strength as low as 65 Pa reported by the DI team may not be realistic.
